Sweet cocker spaniel lost his leg to t cell lympho

Sammy’s time

So we have made it to the last leg of Sammy’s journey. The Tumors have taken over. His good eye is gone swallowed whole. He has not adapted to the blindness and just walks in circles. I try not to leave him alone. I went to get my mom to watch him. When we returned he had slipped and fell in poo and was unable to get up off it. We are making the most of it. Lots of snuggles and treats. He was super tired and wouldn’t do much the other day. Untill we got him French fries. He was sniffing and waving his head like Stevie Wonder looking for them. He was super excited for those so he gets fries every day. I carry him everywhere because he gets really scared if you try to lead him and sits right down. I wish I had a helmet for when he walks around. He really isn’t able to find his way at all. He has pain pills now which I am sure he needs with his eye and the lump that opened up on his cheek. I don’t know how bad it is for him and don’t want it to get worse. I have decided that Saturday is the day he will go be with Boo and Pooh. The tumor is growing so fast in that eye I can’t bear for him to hurt anymore. It will be hard if he still gets excited for food but I think this is for the best. We had a nice Easter together and I will treasure those memories. Sorry my picture editor wouldn’t work.

I am so sorry. Know that you’ve really done all you can and know that he will be forever thankful and his love for you will last forever -whether here or beyond. I have no more words, I had really hoped that things would turn out ok for you for a while yet. You’re in our thoughts, please feel hugged

With all my heart and soul, I am holding you in my thoughts as Sammy prepares to become an angel dog. I’m so sorry. This is so darn hard to come to terms with, we all understand.

Please know you have done everything you possibly can for him. What love and friendship you have given to your sweet boy. He will thank you a thousand times over in eternity as his spirit becomes a part of your life forever.

No one coukdr have done more for Sammy and he knows it. He has been loved by you every single moment he has been by your side…..and you have been loved by him with just as much devotion!

You are giving Sammy the gift of release from an earthly bodynthat no longer served him. He will run free and will see Boo and Pooh CLEARLY as they run to greet him as he runs towards the Bridge. And they will have buckets and buckets of French Fries.

My Happy Hannah became an April’s Angel three years ago. Her job at the Bridge is to greet all dogs with ice cream and chocolate!! So between the fries and the ice cream, Sammy will have quite a welcome home pawty.

This part is soooo hard. Sammynis ready for the transition. Sammy knows you love him enough to give him this loving gift.

PLEASE know that we all have been touched by this handsome boy and by your devotion towards him. Your love comes shining through with every word.

We are here for you and with you. We want to help your through this. We understand the void and the devastating grief you will be going through. Please stay connected to us.

I shall buy some french fries in honor of sweet Sammy.

    Love and hugs
